What Can I do if I have an emergency and I can no longer care for a family member who is frail aged and or has a disability?

If you become seriously unwell suddenly and no one is available to take over your usual role as Carer, our Crisis Team may be able to assist you. The Crisis Team can respond within one hour of your call and provide emergency care for up to a maximum of 72 hours.

Who is eligible to receive Crisis respite?

Anyone eligible to receive assistance under the Home and Community Care Program is eligible for respite, please call our team on 9244 5411 and they will be happy to answer your questions

Can the Crisis Team assist me with showering for a fortnight?

No, we can only assist for the first three days our crisis team goes in, please call the office of Perth Home Care Services on 9244 5800 to discuss other possibilities

I live in Mandurah will the Crisis Team assist me?

The Crisis Team covers the entire metropolitan area, including outer metropolitan suburbs such as Mandurah

Can the Crisis Team look after my pets and/or home whilst I am in hospital?

|
|
Unfortunately not, the Crisis Team cannot look after property or pets while you are in hospital. You will need to make arrangements with neighbours, friends or family.
