Mental Health services at PHCS can be accessed in the Metropolitan Area and in the Wheatbelt Region. Metropolitan Area Services in the Metropolitan Area are funded through the Mental Health Commission. Services include promoting social networks (companionship and recreation), working together to increase peoples independent living skills (household organisation, shopping, bill paying, meal preparation, home help and attending appointments), working together to improve participants levels of motivation, confidence and self esteem, providing advocacy support, respite service and work readiness.

HOPE is essential to a person's recovery, when people are encouraged to take ownership, responsibility and actively participate in their personal journey they experience their own empowerment and can make meaningful changes. Hope can change a person's attitude, values, motivation and builds confidence with in. We believe people can and do recover from mental distress. Wheatbelt Region Mental Health support in the Wheatbelt is funded through FaHCSIA (Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Services). This particular way of providing support is called Personal Helpers and Mentors (PHaMs). The Personal Helpers and Mentors Program aims to create opportunities for recovery for people with a severe functional limitation resulting from a severe mental illness by helping them to overcome social isolation and increase their connections to their community. The Personal Helpers and Mentors Program (PHaM) is available to people with severe and persistent mental health issues in various postcodes throughout the Wheatbelt region of WA. Perth Home Care Services believes that people should lead the way to their own recovery. Our program strives to build resilience within individuals and families, and encourage innovative approaches to service provision.
