Disability Services Programs

Perth Home Care Services Inc. provides services to a wide range of people with disabilities. Some people have low support needs and the assistance they require to remain at home may be limited. Others have complex care needs and require intensive and frequent assistance. In some of these circumstances individuals and their families may have received funds from the Disability Services Commission. Increasingly Perth Home Care Services is the agency of choice to provide services to people with a significant level of disability and complex care needs, who have been funded by the Commission.

The two models of support provided by PHCS are:

a) visiting support where support workers provide assistance in the home or community for a designated number of hours per week and
b) alternative family care where the person with disability lives in the home of an alternate carer who is paid a tax free carer reimbursement.

Enquiries regarding PHCS management of DSC funded options should be directed to the Chief Executive Officer.

For information about eligibility for services and other information on disabilities visit the DSC Website at www.dsc.wa.gov.au or, to consult the Disability Service Library visit the following website www.activ.asn.au.
